Welcome to RH Mobile Notary. By scheduling, requesting, or using our notary services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. services provided
RH Mobile Notary provides mobile notary public services in accordance with California state law. Services may include, but are not limited to, acknowledgments, jurats, affidavits, and other notarial acts permitted by law.
RH Mobile Notary does not provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, or offer guidance on the content or legality of documents.
2. identification requirements
All signers must present valid, current government-issued photo identification as required by California law. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to:
State-issued driver’s license or ID
U.S. passport
Other IDs permitted by California Notary regulations
Failure to provide proper identification will result in cancellation of the appointment, and applicable fees may still apply.
3. notary fees
Notary fees are set by the State of California and are subject to change:
$15 per notarized signature (per notarial act)
These fees are regulated by law and are non-negotiable.
4. mobile travel fees
Mobile notary services include a separate travel and convenience fee, which is not regulated by the state and will be disclosed prior to the appointment.
Travel fees may vary based on:
Distance traveled
Time of day
Urgency or same-day requests
Parking or toll costs
Travel fees are earned upon dispatch and are non-refundable.
5. appointments & scheduling
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. Same-day and urgent requests are not guaranteed.
RH Mobile Notary reserves the right to refuse service if:
Proper identification is not provided
The signer appears unwilling, coerced, or lacks awareness
The document is incomplete or contains blank spaces (where prohibited by law)
The request violates California Notary law
6. cancellations & no-shows
Cancellations made with less than 1 hour notice may be subject to the full travel fee.
No-shows or inability to complete notarization due to client error (missing ID, unsigned documents, unavailable signers) will result in forfeiture of the travel fee.
Notary act fees are only charged if the notarization is completed.
7. payment terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
Accepted payment methods may include:
Cash
Zelle
Venmo
Other methods as communicated prior to appointment
Returned payments or failed transactions may result in additional fees.
8. limitation of liability
RH Mobile Notary is not responsible for:
The legality, validity, or enforceability of documents
Consequences arising from the use or misuse of notarized documents
Errors caused by incomplete or incorrect information provided by the client
Liability is limited to the cost of the notarial act performed, as permitted by law.
9. privacy policy
All client information is handled with care and confidentiality in accordance with California law. Notary journals are maintained as required by law and may be disclosed only when legally required.
RH Mobile Notary does not sell or share personal information for marketing purposes.
10. refusal of service
RH Mobile Notary reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at any time if the request violates state law, ethical standards, or personal safety considerations.
11. governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.
12. changes to terms
RH Mobile Notary reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on the website with the revised effective date.
